Questions and Answers with God

While writing a Book of Life, the web site wereall1.com was my attempt to bring “God’s perspective” to the political machinations of the recent United States presidential election, which of course resulted in the election of Barack Obama.  But, much like mayonnaise left out overnight, recent news events become stale very quickly.  So it is fair to say, that while there are overarching themes to the site, which was written somewhat tongue in cheek, substituting names of any historical figures, past or future, for the ones used, might yet restore freshness.

The usual question that God would bring to any situation is “Where is the Love here?”  Who is choosing “Love?   “Who is choosing “Truth"?  Those monumental yet simplistic questions can and should be asked of oneself primarily.  One can look at the actions and words of others and ask the same questions, as an object lesson.  The larger than life public characters are showing large numbers of people their choices, but so are many other actors, from the leading figures in the political arena to the TV/Internet talking heads; to the news reporters who bend words to scare, frighten, sometimes amuse, and occasionally truly offer factual information, but frequently to profit personally and/or professionally.

So, I now expand on the last question posed to God, from within the illusion of time, as time, events, and the eternal now manifests itself.  I have intentionally, for convenience only, left off quotation marks around, the questions and answers.

HOPE AND CHANGE

Question: The US election is over. President Obama has assumed the mantle of leadership. There is catastrophic economic crisis at home. There are wars on two fronts. Terrorism is again on display. How real is hope and what real changes can we expect?

Answer: In everyone there is a yearning; to be part of something larger and embracing; to be part of something that gives a sense of self-love, regardless of the distortions and perversions seen in some of the choices.  The symbology of Barack Obama is strong in its message of hope.  Large numbers of people have felt inspired to align themselves with the messenger and the message.  When people choose to be part of something where they can release fear and choose love, they begin to gain enlightenment.  That is contact with a greater reality.  And as enlightenment increases, change will come about.  There already is change.  The belief that race or color makes a difference is disappearing; on display as the transfer of presidential power played out for all to see.  With eternity as the backdrop, eventually your collective consciousness will move to the realization that you are all one, united in purpose.  Contrary to the usual understanding of the US Constitution and the presidential oath of office and job description, President Obama is there not to serve the people.  His true role is to serve God, whether or not he fully realizes it.  As he has acknowledged, he was called to serve.  And in that capacity, when somehow he “saves” the world from disaster, don’t just say, “Wow, it’s a miracle it turned out so well”.  Realize it is a “MIRACLE”.  And there will be that moment.  You read it here first.
